HopePing is a tiny app with a big job: send one good message into the Universe—and keep the receipt.

Write a wish. A thank-you. A promise. A prayer. A weird little note to Future You. Tap Send, and HopePing transmits it beyond your device and returns a confirmed receipt with a timestamp—proof your message existed, right then, in that moment.

From there, you can turn any transmission into a clean, shareable card—designed to look good, feel calm, and travel easily through Messages, email, AirDrop, or social. You can also save the card to Photos so your best words don’t get lost in the noise of everyday life.

HopePing is intentionally simple:

  • No feed

  • No algorithm

  • No likes

  • No noise

Just you, your words, and a quiet confirmation that your hope has been sent—outward, into the dark, toward the infinite.

Privacy Policy — HopePing

Effective date: December 21, 2025

HopePing (“the App”) is designed to let you write a message (a “wish”), send it, and receive a receipt. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.

1) Information We Collect

A. Content you provide

  • Wish text/message: When you send a wish, the message you type is transmitted to our server endpoint to create a receipt.

B. App-generated data

  • Receipt ID and timestamp: When your wish is confirmed, the App receives a receipt identifier and a server timestamp.

C. Device storage

  • Saved wishes (local): If you choose to keep history in the App, your wishes and receipts may be stored locally on your device.

D. Photos (only if you choose to save)

  • If you tap Save on a card, the App requests permission to add the image to your Photos library. The App does notaccess your photo library unless you choose to save a card.

E. Technical data (limited)

  • Basic diagnostic information may be available through Apple (for example, crash reports) depending on your iOS settings. We do not use this data to identify you personally.

2) How We Use Information

We use information to:

  • Transmit your wish and generate a receipt

  • Display your receipt and wish history (if enabled)

  • Generate and export/share your transmission card

  • Maintain reliability and prevent abuse (for example, rate limiting)

3) What We Do Not Do

  • We do not sell your personal information.

  • We do not run advertising trackers in the App.

  • We do not build marketing profiles about you.

4) Sharing and Disclosure

We may share information only in these situations:

  • Service operation: Your wish text must be sent to our server endpoint to generate your receipt.

  • Legal requirements: We may disclose information if required to comply with applicable law, regulation, or legal process.

  • Business changes: If the App is acquired or merged, information may be transferred as part of that transaction.

5) Data Retention

  • On your device: Wishes you keep in the App remain on your device until you delete them or delete the App.

  • On our servers: We may retain wish content and receipt data only as long as necessary to operate and secure the service, resolve issues, and comply with legal obligations. We aim to minimize retention whenever possible.

6) Your Choices and Controls

You can:

  • Delete wish history: Delete individual wishes inside the App (if provided) or uninstall the App to remove local data.

  • Photos permission: You can allow or deny Photos access at any time in Settings → Privacy & Security → Photos → HopePing.

  • Sharing: When you share a card or text, you control where it goes through Apple’s share sheet.

7) Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect information. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8) Children’s Privacy

HopePing is not intended for children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

9) International Users

If you access the App from outside the United States, your information may be processed in the United States or other locations where our service providers operate.

10) Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated policy on this page and update the “Effective date” above.
